RENO, Nev.— The Nevada Wolf Pack volleyball team fell short in a three-set match against Boise State, losing 0-3 at Virginia Street Gym. The defeat puts Nevada's overall record at 11-12 and 4-8 in the Mountain West Conference.
Despite a spirited effort, the Wolf Pack struggled to overcome Boise State's offense. Gabby McLaughlin led Nevada with 12 kills, followed by Carissa Chainey who contributed eight kills. Behind them with six each was Sia Liilii and Bella Snyder. Tehya Maeva provided valuable assists throughout the match, tallying 25 as well as 10 digs. Libero Kinsley Singleton anchored the defense with 14 digs, adding to her team's efforts to resist Boise State's attack.
Nevada's blocking was a challenge throughout, tallying just two team blocks against Boise State's 11. The Broncos maintained control by winning each set 25-21, 25-15, and 25-16, showcasing their offensive precision with a .314 hitting percentage across the match.
The Wolf Pack will seek to rebound as they hit the road to face New Mexico on Thursday, November 7, with a 5:30 p.m. start time.
