The Wolf Pack Get The Win Over The Wildcats

Reno, Nev. - The Wolf Pack dominated in their all-around win over the Weber State Wildcats and cruised to an 88-58 Win. The game was relatively close going into the 8-minute media timeout in the first half of play, with the score being 20-20. However, the Wolf Pack started gaining momentum, going on a 20-8 run to end the half, setting the tone for separation the rest of the way.

The Wolf Pack dominated on both ends of the court, shooting 56.9 percent from the field on 51 attempts and 57.1 percent from the three-point line. The Wolf Pack had four players in double figures, with four other players nearing double figures by the end of the game.  On the defensive end, the Wolf Pack held the Wildcats to 28 percent from the field on 54 attempts and 15 percent from the three-point line on 20 attempts.

The significant difference in the game came from the Wolf Pack bench's winning the battle in the paint at 30 to 14. In addition, the Wolf Pack bench came out strong, winning the bench battle 33 to 21. 

The charge off the bench was led by Justin McBride, who scored a career-high 16 points on 56 percent shooting from the field and 83 percent from the free-throw line on six attempts. McBride's previous career high was 8 points against Sam Houston while he was enrolled at Oklahoma State as a freshman.

DuSell also exploded for 17 points, shooting 5 of 7 from three-point range, to become the Wolf Pack's leading scorer tonight.

Davidson had a solid game, gathering 14 points, five rebounds, four assists and a steal.

Sanders had an efficient game, scoring 11 points on 50 percent from the field and 100 percent from the three-point line on two attempts.

Love carried the defensive end for the Wolf Pack, notching 8 points, four rebounds, and three blocks. 

With the win in Lawlor, the Wolf Pack look to keep the momentum rolling into their fourth home game of the season against the Santa Clara Broncos on Saturday, November 16th.  The game will be broadcast on NSN, with play-by-play being presented by John Ramey and Len Stevens. The radio broadcast audio is simulcast on the network for both radio and TV audiences on NSN. Fans in Northern Nevada can listen to all Nevada men's basketball games on terrestrial radio at 95.5 FM KNEV. Additionally, all games are available online through the Varsity Network app and are accessible from any location with internet access.
