RENO, Nev. - The Nevada Men's Basketball annual Starting 5 dinner has officially been scheduled to take place on Sunday, Oct. 15 at the Silver Legacy Resort and Casino. The dinner will be located in the Expo Room, and doors will open at 5:00 p.m. with the dinner set to begin at 5:30 p.m.
The dinner is exclusive for Starting 5 members. Members are able to purchase additional dinner tickets for $75. Those wishing to attend must RSVP by October 9th by emailing kima@unr.edu.
Nevada Basketball Head Coach Steve Alford led the team to a 22-11 record and an NCAA Tournament appearance last season. The Pack returns 67.5 percent of its scoring from last season, including All-Mountain West players and starters Jarod Lucas, Kenan Blackshear, and Tre Coleman.
Alford and his staff have also worked vigorously to bring in a plethora of new talent, including two impact transfers in Tylan Pope and Jeriah Coleman, and one of the strongest freshmen classes in program history.
Nevada will host Stanislaus State in an exhibition game on Wednesday, Nov. 1, before opening the season at home against Sacramento State on Tuesday, Nov. 7.
