LAS VEGAS – Nevada men's tennis pulls off a 4-0 sweep against the No. 7 Air Force Falcons Wednesday evening, with All-Mountain West singles honoree Matheo Coupu clinching the match for the Pack, to continue their run for a chance to repeat as Mountain West tournament champions.

The evening opened with a split in doubles play, both the Falcons and the Wolf Pack picking up a win at Nos. 1 and 3, bringing the doubles point down to the final match at No. 3. At No. 1, Nevada's Delmas N'Tcha and Juan Batalla took Air Force's Arjun Kersten and Jonny Mascagni 6-3, while Phillip Deaton and Kyle Garner from Air Force defeated Loris Zisswiller and Satchel Benn from Nevada 6-4. Battling it out with the Falcons at No. 2, Matheo Coupu and Youssef Kadiri Hassani secured the doubles point with a 7-5 victory over Justin Waldman and Nick Vroman.

Thanks to Loris Zisswiller at No. 6, Nevada claimed its second point of the match, sitting at 2-0 after the first match of singles was completed. Zisswiller took Air Force's Jonny Mascagni in a straight-sets victory, winning 6-4 in the first and second sets. The Pack continued the momentum, N'Tcha defeating Waldman 6-3, 6-4 at No. 3, bringing Nevada within one to take the match. At No. 1, Coupu beat out Kersten 7-5, 7-5, clinching the match and securing the Pack's second win over the Falcons this season.

The Pack will turn their focus to tomorrow when they compete in the semifinals against No. 3 seed Boise State. Last time the two teams met was in Reno last weekend marking the end of the regular season, Nevada sweeping the Broncos 4-0. This matchup will be the 40th time the teams have faced each other, Boise State holding a 26-13 advantage over the Wolf Pack. First serve at the Darling Tennis Center is set for 5 p.m. PT on Thursday.
