FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Nevada narrowly falls 4-3 to No. #60 Colorado State Sunday afternoon at the CSU Tennis Complex after taking the early lead heading into singles play 1-0 over the Rams, moving to 6-6 on the season and 1-3 in Mountain West play.

Nevada's doubles tandems of Lou-Anne Guerbert and Anastasia Luneva at No. 2, and Mariana Campino and Amahée Charrier at No. 1 captured the 1-0 lead after taking their Colorado State counterparts 6-4 a piece.

Carrying that momentum into singles, freshman Audrey Moutama earned the first singles win at No. 6 over Colorado State's Vika Zhadzinskaya in a straight-sets victory 6-2, 6-3, boosting Nevada's lead 2-0. To shorten the Pack's lead, the Rams took the next singles point at No. 2, Zara Lennon defeating Nevada's Anastasia Luneva 6-4, 6-3, bringing Colorado State within one.

The Rams continued their singles victories, capturing the next two at Nos. 4 and 5 to take the lead 3-2 over Nevada. Colorado State's Sarka Richterova took Wiem Boubaker 7-5, 6-3, while Luana Avelar and Mariana Campino battled it out through three sets. The first set belonged to Avelar 6-4 before Campino made a comeback in the second, dominating Avelar 6-1. Ultimately, the third set would go to Avelar after bouncing back from her loss in the second to win the match 6-2.

Nevada's Lou-Anne Guerbert brought the score to 3-3 all after defeating Sarah Weekly at No. 3, again battling it out through three sets. After losing the first set 4-6 to Weekly, Guerbert rebounded to win the next two in a dominating 6-1 second set and finishing the job 7-5 in the third. Coming down to the final match and the third three-set match of the day, Colorado State's Radka Buzkova would clinch the win at No. 1 for the Rams after defeating Amahée Charrier 5-7, 6-3, 6-2.

The Pack will look to return home to McArthur Tennis Center next week with matches on Thursday, April 6 and Saturday, April 8. Nevada will host Fresno State on Thursday, and will take on San Jose State on Saturday, with both matches scheduled for 11:00 a.m.
