FORT COLLINS, Colo. – After battling it out until the final singles match, the Nevada Wolf Pack fell to the No. 73 ranked Wyoming Cowgirls 4-3 in a neutral-site match Saturday afternoon, hosted by the Colorado State Rams.

The Pack (6-5, 1-2 MW) fell in a hole early after the Cowgirls captured the doubles point with wins at Nos. 2 and 3. Wyoming's Violetta Borodina and Maria Oreshkina took Nevada's Amahée Charrier and Audrey Moutama first at No. 2 6-3, while Noesjka Brink and Nikol Dobrilova defeated Mariana Campino and Gabriella Charalampidi 6-4.

The Cowgirls continued to battle, taking the first singles match point at No. 4, Violetta Borodina defeating Nevada's Wiem Boubaker 6-2 in both sets. Audrey Moutama helped shorten Wyoming's lead to put Nevada within one, with a straight-sets victory over Ana Fernandez 7-5, 6-3. The Cowgirls would take the next point, securing the win at No. 2 after Maria Oreshkina and Anastasia Luneva fought out the match in three sets, Oreshkina taking the first and the third sets, after Luneva earned the win in set two 7-5. Mariana Campino would come out on top next over Wyoming's Nikol Dobrilova, taking the match to three sets with Campino getting the tiebreaker win in the first set, 7-6 (4), and bouncing back in the third after falling to Dobrilova 6-2 in the second.

Lou-Anne Guerbert defeated Noesjka Brink to tie the score up at 3-3, but it would be the Cowgirls' Sophie Zehender who clinched the win for Wyoming. After two straight-set tiebreaks in the second and third sets versus Nevada's Amahée Charrier, Zehender would win the match in set three 7-6 (6) to give Wyoming their fourth straight win.
