RENO, Nev. - Nevada Baseball will open its home slate a week earlier than expected, hosting California Baptist for a three-game series at Don Weir Field at Peccole Park Saturday-Sunday, Feb. 25-26.
The series begins with a doubleheader Saturday, with first pitch for the opener set for 12 p.m. The second game will start approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of the opener. Sunday's finale is set for an 11 a.m. start.
All three contests will be broadcast locally in Reno on KHIT 94.1 FM/1450 AM, and online through The Varsity Network app, with Josh Suchon on the call.
CHANGE OF PLANS
Nevada's original plans for this weekend were to travel to California Baptist, in Riverside, Calif., for four games. The Pack would have played twice against the host Lancers, and twice against High Point.
But a forecast of heavy showers in the Inland Empire forced the cancellation of the games. California Baptist then agreed to travel to Reno for three games against the Wolf Pack.
