HOUSTON, Texas - Nevada finished the first day of the Mountain West Championships Wednesday afternoon. The Pack is currently in second place, behind San Diego State (223 points), with 211 points.Â
Nevada divers continue to show dominance in the conference as they finished the 1-meter springboard with first through fourth place in the event.
Lucia Gabino finished the event on top with a score of 348.20.
Melissa Mirafuentes took second place with a score of 347 pts, while
Bailey Heydra finished in third place with 338.85.
Laura Isabel Vazquez Lopez got fourth place with a 329.50.
The Pack started the day with third place in the 200-medley relay. The squad composed of
Kyla Alexander,
Wiktoria Samula,
Josien Wijkhuijs, and
Martyna Jablonska finished the event with a time of 1:40.02.Â
Nevada finished the session with eighth place in the 800-free relay.
Benedict Nagy,
Colette Berkenfield,
Destiny Kling, and Mari Vignoli finished the event with a time of 7:25.95.Â
