RENO, Nev. - Nevada swim and dive is set for the Mountain West Championships, Feb. 15-18 in Houston, Texas. Prelims are set to start every day at 10:30 a.m. C.T while finals are set for 6 p.m. CT.
San Diego State secured the win in 2022 with 1,541,5 points, while the Pack scored 1,277.5 points.
Benedict Nagy is looking to defend her back-to-back Mountain West title in the 400 IM. Nagy is ranked second in the event before the start of the competition.
Josien Wijkhuijs is ranked first place in the 100 backstroke after breaking the school record in November with a time of 52.69
Both Nevada 200 and 400 medley relays are ranked second place, right behind San Diego State.
Nevada divers continue to be a powerhouse in the Mountain West Conference. Joining the Pack this season is Melissa Mirafuentes, the Mountain West Diver of the year who received All-American honors in the previous season and has earned multiple Mountain West titles during her career at Wyoming.
Bailey Heydra is looking to defend her title in the 1-meter springboard after earning the gold medal with a score of 340.10.
Laura Isabel Vazquez Lopez returns on her last season as a member of the Pack after claiming three bronze medals in the previous conference.
