RENO, Nev. - Nevada women's basketball comes back from Holiday Break and begins Mountain West play Saturday at 1 p.m. at Lawlor Events Center against New Mexico.
Saturday's game will be available to watch on Mountain West Network and available to listen on KPLY 630 AM. Emmy award-winning broadcaster Larry Burnett will be on the radio play-by-play once again for Nevada women's basketball, where fans can also listen online through the Varsity Network.
In addition to the traditional in-game activities, Saturday's game will also include a free postgame basketball clinic for youth eighth grade and under followed by team autographs for all fans. Tickets start at just $5 for youth online and $7 for adults online.
SWEET STEALS
Nevada women's basketball has made getting steals and forcing turnovers a part of their early identity. The Pack are currently 6th in the nation and first in the Mountain West in steals, averaging 13.3 steals per game. Nevada is also in the top 25 in the nation in turnover margin with an average of 6.62. The Pack opened the season with 23 steals Nov. 9, the fourth-most by a Wolf Pack squad in a single game in the NCAA Era. They recently collected 24 steals Dec. 16 against Stanislaus State, the third-most by a Nevada team in a single game in the NCAA Era. Guards

Victoria Davis recently hit the century mark for career steals. Roden (four steals) and Davis (two steals) both obtained their 100th career steals Dec. 21 against BYU, with Roden also coming up with 12 points. Roden registered her fourth game this season with four or more steals while Davis played in her third game after recovering from a back injury.
AWESOME AUDREY
Audrey Roden, a member of the 2021-22 Mountain West All-Freshman Team, returns to Nevada for her junior season. She started the season by registering her fifth career 20-point game by dropping 21 in the season opener Nov. 9. As a sophomore, Roden finished in the top 20 in the Mountain West in scoring average in conference games. The West Linn, Oregon, native scored in double figures 15 times in 2022-23, including three 20-point outings. She also became the third Nevada sophomore to reach 500 career points under head coach
Amanda Levens. Roden is currently in the top 10 nationally in steals and is second in the Mountain West with 38. She came up with her second career double-double Nov. 29 against San Diego (22 points, 11 rebounds).
HUNTING SEASON
Nevada women's basketball is going from the hunted to the hunters in 2023-24, with this year's theme being "The Hunt". Nevada is looking to bounce back after finishing just 10-21 last season with an eighth place finish in the Mountain West. "The Hunt" theme is a daily reminder for the team in 2023-24, with the words being printed on this season's practice jerseys.
SCOUTING NEW MEXICO
New Mexico tied the third-best non-conference record in the Mountain West with a 9-4 mark heading into Saturday. The Lobos have scored an average of 64.2 points per game and while grabbing 42.5 rebounds per game. New Mexico won its first four games of the season and has won two out of its last three heading into the conference opener.
The Lobos have four players who average at least 10 points per game, led by Paula Reus with 12.2 points per game to go with 6.3 rebounds per game. Viane' Cumber (11.9 points per game), Nyah Wilson (11.8 points per game) and Aniyah Augmon (10.8 points per game) all give the Lobos added scoring depth.
