RENO, Nev. - Nevada women's basketball returns to Lawlor Events Center to host its annual Holiday Game Saturday against Stanislaus State at 1 p.m. 

Saturday's game will be available to watch on Mountain West Network and available to listen on KPLY 630 AM. Emmy award-winning broadcaster Larry Burnett will be on the radio play-by-play once again for Nevada women's basketball, where fans can also listen online through the Varsity Network. 

In addition to the traditional in-game activities, Saturday's holiday-themed game will also include a Teddy Bear Toss and the Pack will donate all the bears to a local charity. Fans are encouraged to bring a teddy bear to the arena and select bears will be available to purchase on site. Saturday's game will also include a free postgame basketball clinic for youth eighth grade and under followed by team autographs for all fans. 

Tickets start at just $5 for youth online and $7 for adults online. 

SWEET STEALS
Nevada women's basketball has made getting steals and forcing turnovers a part of their early identity. The Pack are currently 10th in the nation and first in the Mountain West in steals, averaging 12.8 steals per game. Nevada is also in the top 40 in the nation in turnover margin with an average of 5.5. The 23 steals Nov. 9 are the fourth-most by a Wolf Pack squad in a single game in the NCAA Era. 

GABBY GETTING IT DONE
With all her career starts coming this season, senior guard Gabby Giuffre has been an added force for the Pack in the 2023-24 season. Giuffre led Nevada with her first career double-double of 15 points and 10 rebounds in a 73-62 win over South Alabama Nov. 24 in the University of Denver Classic. She finished with a career-high in points and rebounds while going 4-for-5 from 3-point range. 

NAT IS BACK 
Redshirt sophomore forward Natalie Lathrop overcame great adversity by coming back from a season-ending knee injury sustained in 2022-23. Lathrop scored her first basket since March 7, 2022 on Nov. 17 against Pepperdine and finished a strong layup in the second quarter following a Gabby Giuffre 3-pointer to widen Nevada's lead to double-digits. She finished with a career-high seven points Nov. 17. In her first collegiate start Dec. 6 at Weber State, Lathrop grabbed a career-high eight rebounds and blocked three shots. 

THE GREAT GIVENS
Nevada's Lexie Givens has been one of Nevada's most consistent players in the last four years. Givens, who averaged 10.5 points per game last season, was Nevada's leading rebounder in 2022-23 with a 6.4 rebounds per game mark. She began the year by accumulating eight steals in the season opener, the fourth-most by a Nevada player in a single game in the NCAA Era. Givens accumulated a career-high five blocks Nov. 25 against Central Arkansas, good for the top 10 in a single game in program history en route to being named to the University of Denver Classic All-Tournament Team. 

STUDENTS FIRST, ATHLETES SECOND
The Pack had five student-athletes named as a Mountain West Scholar Athlete this past year. The Mountain West Scholar-Athlete team is composed of student-athletes that completed at least two semesters or three quarters while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher.

SCOUTING STANISLAUS STATE
Stanislaus State is off to a solid start with a 9-4 record, winning their sixth straight game with a win over Seattle Pacific Thursday. Nevada has had great success over Stanislaus State in the NCAA Era, leading the series 6-1 and winning 85-35 in the two's last meeting Nov. 20, 2022. Stanislaus State's 35 points were the second-fewest scored by a Nevada opponent in the NCAA Era. 

Mya Blake leads the Warriors in scoring with a 13 points per game mark, with Lilliana Marques adding 12.3 points per game. Joia Armstrong has been dominant on the glass for Stanislaus State, having 6.1 boards per game.
