ST. GEORGE, Utah - Pack wrap up their mid-season invite at Utah Tech in fourth place with a score of 496 points.
Thursday Finals
Nevada had strong performances in the relay events posting top-10 finishes in the 200 freestyle relay and 400 medley relay for both the A and B relay teams.
The 200 freestyle relay A team composed of
Scarlett Ferris,
Evie Floate,
Molly Von Seggern and
Colette Berkenfield finished fourth with a time of 1:33.32. Nevada's B team composed of
Yasmin Perry,
Caitlin Smith,
Samantha Bristor, and
Katie Schwarze finished tenth with a time of 1:35.97.
Nevada's A team secured the second-place finish in the 400 medley relay, composed of
Scarlett Ferris,
Sara Mihalic,
Yasmin Perry, and
Evie Floate with a season best time of 3:40.25. The B team composed of
Molly Von Seggern,
Campbell Deringer, Evie Wood, and
Colette Berkenfield finished in seventh with a time of 3:45.76.
Frederica Kizek had a season best time of 4:53.58 in the 500 freestyle finishing in third.
Sara Mihalic had a second-place finish in the 200 IM with a time of 2:01.84.
Friday Finals
Friday's finals saw two first place, record book finishes from
Yasmin Perry in the 100 butterfly (53.65) and
Scarlett Ferris in the 100 backstroke (53.23). Ferris now ranks second all-time in Nevada history in the 100 backstroke. Perry is fourth all-time in Nevada history in the 100 butterfly. Perry and Ferris now hold the top spots in these events in the Mountain West Conference this season.
Molly Von Seggern secured the third place finish in the 100 backstroke with a time of 55.34. Evie Wood placed ninth in the 100 butterfly B final with a time of 55.72.
The Pack took two of the top three spots in the 400 IM with
Frederica Kizek in second (4:23.32) knocking off 3 seconds from her prelims time and
Sara Mihalic in third (4:23.54) knocking over two seconds from her prelims time.
Mihalic had another top-10 finish in the 100 breaststroke coming in at sixth with a time of 1:03.65.
The relay teams had another successful finals night with the 200 medley relay placing second consisting of
Scarlett Ferris,
Sara Mihalic,
Yasmin Perry, and
Colette Berkenfield with a time of 1:41.03. The 800 freestyle relay secured the third place finish with a time of 7:30.29 and consisted of
Frederica Kizek,
Evie Floate,
Audrey Bull, and
Olivia Stevenson.
Saturday Finals
Saturday's finals saw several top-5 finishes from the Pack in the backstroke and butterfly events.
Frederica Kizek secured the second-place finish in the 1650 freestyle with a time of 16:43.45 and landed fifth all-time at Nevada in respective event. Kizek's 1000 freestyle split put her at sixth all-time at Nevada in the 1000 freestyle with a time of 10:03.58.
The Wolf Pack had two top-five finishes in the 200 backstroke with
Molly Von Seggern finishing third with a time of 1:59.69, etching her name into Nevada's top-10 all time in respective event.
Scarlett Ferris placed fifth with a time 2:00.95, now her lifetime best.
Sara Mihalic secured second the place finish in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:13.76. The Pack dominated the 200 butterfly with second, third, and fourth place finishes. Perry came in second with a time of 1:58.42, Wood in third (2:03.24), and Bull in fourth (2:03.70).
Nevada's 400 freestyle A relay team finished third with a time of 3:24.15 consisting of Berkenfield, Floate, Ferris, and Perry.
UP NEXT
The Pack will go on winter break until Jan. 12 when they host New Mexico at Lombardi Recreation Center for a two-day dual meet at home.
