RENO, Nev. - Nevada Athletics proudly celebrates National Native American Heritage Month, recognizing student-athletes, coaches and administrators from Native American heritage.
Nevada Athletics will pay tribute in a variety of ways, including at three November home contests: Men's Basketball vs. Portland (Nov. 18), Women's Basketball vs. Oregon (Nov. 21), and Football vs. Wyoming (Nov. 25).
Each of the three contests will feature a pregame song and anthem, halftime performances, alumni recognition, and a land acknowledgement. Tickets are available atÂ

"As the University of Nevada begins the sesquicentennial, it is important to recognize the history of the University while celebrating the contributions and presence of our Native American Heritage this November," said University of Nevada Director of Indigenous Relations Daphne Emm Hooper. "Many partners, on and off campus, will work together to celebrate through various events, cultural activities, and programs throughout the month. Nevada Athletics will partner with the Office of Indigenous Relations, the Multicultural Center, and the Native American Alumni Chapter to recognize our Native communities throughout the month."
Nevada Athletics will partner with the Native American Alumni Association and Indigenous Student Services with recognitions and performances at the following contests:
Men's Basketball
Nov. 18 vs. Portland (7 p.m.)
Women's Basketball
Nov. 21 vs. Oregon (6:30 p.m.)
