Nevada Women’s Golf Announces Addition of Amy Na

RENO, Nev. - The Nevada Women's Golf program and Head Coach Kathleen Takaishi have announced the addition of Amy Na, a prep signing from Chico, California.

Nevada will join the Wolf Pack Women's Golf program in the fall of 2024 after graduating from Pleasant Valley HS this spring.

"Amy will be a tremendous addition to our program, and we are excited for her to join the Pack next fall," said Takaishi. "She has continued to improve throughout her high school career, and I think that she has the potential to be an exceptional golfer at the collegiate level. She is a great fit for our program and she has the chance to have a phenomenal career here at Nevada."

Originally from Seoul, South Korea, Na will make her way to the Pack from nearby Chico, California.

Na has had an outstanding amateur career and has continually improved her performances throughout high school.

Na had a particularly impressive summer, compiling a multitude of top-15 finishes. Competing primarily on the AJGA tour, she had one of her best outings of the summer at the AJGA Colorado Junior at Walnut Creek, earning a T13 finish after carding rounds of 72, 76, and 75 to conclude the event at +7.

Na had another stellar performance at the AJGA Junior at Penn State, where she put together rounds of 73-74-77 to finish the event at +8 and earn a 14th-place finish.

At the AJGA Junior Open, one of the premier junior tournaments in the nation, Na finished tied for 14th overall in a field of 78 golfers. Na opened the event with an exceptional first round performance, as she carded an even-par 72 across the first set of 18 holes. She followed up her stellar first round outing with rounds of 79 and 74, finishing the event at +9.

Competing on the JGANC circuit, Na had multiple dominant outings throughout 2023. She earned five top-10 finishes, including four top-two finishes and one individual title at the Sacto City Junior Easter Championship.

Na joins Marina Nonaka as the second prep player to sign with the Pack for the 2024 recruiting cycle.

Nevada is coming off a highly successful fall season in which the Pack earned three top-five finishes as a team, including two top-three finishes. Nevada's Leah John also claimed two individual titles throughout the fall. Nevada will aim to build upon their successful fall season and compete for a Mountain West Championship this spring.
