LONG BEACH, Calif. - Nevada women's basketball goes to the Beach for its first road game of the season on Sunday at Long Beach State at 1 p.m.

Sunday's game will be available to watch on ESPN+ and available to listen on KPLY 630 AM. Emmy award-winning broadcaster Larry Burnett will be on the radio play-by-play once again for Nevada women's basketball, where fans can also listen online through the Varsity Network. 

SWEET STEALS
Nevada women's basketball opened the 2023-24 with dominating defense Nov. 9 against Sacramento State. Nevada recorded 23 steals and forced Sacramento State into 28 turnovers. The 23 steals are the fourth-most by a Wolf Pack squad in a single game in the NCAA Era. The 2023-24 team is the first Nevada team under head coach Amanda Levens to record at least 20 steals in a game. 

DYNAMITE DYMO
Nevada freshman guard Dymonique Maxie shined in her collegiate debut. Maxie recorded nine steals Nov. 9 against Sacramento State, the second-most by a Nevada player in a single game in the NCAA Era. She was the first Nevada freshman to start a season opener since the 2019-20 season. 

AWESOME AUDREY
Audrey Roden, a member of the 2021-22 Mountain West All-Freshman Team, returns to Nevada for her junior season. She started the season by registering her fifth career 20-point game by dropping 21 in the season opener Nov. 9. As a sophomore, Roden finished in the top 20 in the Mountain West in scoring average in conference games. The West Linn, Oregon, native scored in double figures 15 times in 2022-23, including three 20-point outings. She also became the third Nevada sophomore to reach 500 career points under head coach Amanda Levens. 

THE GREAT GIVENS
Nevada's Lexie Givens has been one of Nevada's most consistent players in the last four years. Givens, who averaged 10.5 points per game last season, was Nevada's leading rebounder in 2022-23 with a 6.4 rebounds per game mark. She began the year by accumulating eight steals in the season opener, the fourth-most by a Nevada player in a single game in the NCAA Era. 

BANWAREESINGH WITH THE BOARDS
Kaylen Banwareesingh, UMass Lowell's leading rebounder last season, joins Nevada for the upcoming season. Banwareesingh finished in the top five in the America East conference in rebounding with 8.1 rebounds per game last season. She currently leads Nevada in rebounding with eight boards per game. 

SCOUTING LONG BEACH STATE 
Long Beach State is off to a 1-0 start following an 82-62 win over Biola Nov. 8. First year head coach Amy Wright picked up her first win at the helm of Long Beach State. Savannah Tucker scored a career-high 25 points to lead LBSU to the win. 

Abby Shoff nearly pulled off a double-double, scoring 11 points and grabbing nine rebounds. Patricia Chung added nine points, eight assists and seven rebounds in Wednesday's outing.

Season tickets for youth (8th grade and under) start at just $25 while the Family Four Pack (two adults, two youth) are $37.50 per person. Students receive free admission with their Wolf Card.
