RENO, Nev. - Nevada women's basketball announced that Boise State, Milwaukee and North Dakota State will compete with the Pack in the 2022 Nugget Classic Nov. 25 and 27 at the Lawlor Events Center.
The Pack will face Milwaukee on Friday, Nov. 25 at 2 p.m. and North Dakota State on Sunday, Nov. 27. At 12:30 p.m.
Season tickets for Nevada women's basketball are now on sale for just $65. Season tickets for youth (8th grade and under) start at just $25 while the Family Four Pack (two adults, two youth) are $37.50. Students receive free admission with their Wolf Card. Nevada will host the Nugget Classic for the 16th time at the Lawlor Events Center and hold a 17-14 all-time record in the event. The Pack have won three out of their last five games in the Nugget Classic and are currently on a two-game winning streak in the Thanksgiving weekend showcase.
The Pack collected 20 wins in the 2021-22 season, the second-most victories in Nevada women's basketball history. After finishing third in the Mountain West Conference, Nevada was invited to the WBI for the second time under head coach Amanda Levens. Nevada returns 10 players in 2022-23, including Mountain West All-Defensive Team selection and rising junior Alyssa Jimenez and Mountain West All-Freshman Team guard Audrey Roden.
Mountain West foe Boise State returns four starters and four of its top five leading scorers from last season. North Dakota State will be led by former Summit League Newcomer of the Year and All-Conference player Heaven Hamling. Milwaukee is guided by 2022 All-Horizon First Team member Megan Walstead.
The tournament is sponsored by the Nugget Casino Resort. Nugget employees can receive free admission with an event flier or their employee IDs.
