Stebetakova joins Spain’s Club Maristas Coruna

RENO, Nev. - Former Nevada women's basketball forward Eliska Stebetakova signed a professional contract with Club Maristas Coruna in Spain. 

Stebetakova is the 13th Nevada women's basketball alumna to sign a professional basketball contract and joins Kylie Jimenez as players from the 2021-22 roster now playing overseas. Nevada now has six former women's basketball players who are committed to compete overseas this season (Stebetakova, Jimenez, Terae Briggs, Marguerite Effa, Anna Cameron and Teige Morrell (Zeller).

In her two seasons at Nevada, the Pack collected a combined 33-22 record. During the 2020-21 season, Stebetakova was one of three players on the Pack to score 20 points in a game. She totaled a season-high 20 points at Sacramento State on Dec. 12, 2020. 

Stebetakova helped the Pack to 20 wins in the 2021-22 season, the second-most victories in Nevada women's basketball history. She helped the Pack to their second postseason invite under head coach Amanda Levens, with Nevada reaching the Women's Basketball Invitational semifinals. 

Prior to joining the Pack, Stebetakova guided Northeastern Oklahoma A&M to the NJCAA Region II finals. Originally from the Czech Republic, Stebetakova helped her teams to a first place finish in the 2016 3x3 Czech Republic Championship and collected two top five finishes in the Czech Republic U17 Championship in 2015 and 2017. 

Club Maristas Coruna is a professional team that competes in Liga Femenina 2, the second division of the women's basketball league in Spain. Entering their fourth season in LF2, Club Maristas Coruna is coming off a 10-win season and their strongest finish in group play.
