RENO, Nev. – Nevada Women's Basketball announced the signing of transfer Victoria Davis (Chicago, Ill. / Hampton / Hamilton HS (Ariz.)) Wednesday.
Davis, a 5-foot-4 guard, spent her first two seasons at Hampton, where she appeared in 29 games. She averaged 6.7 points and 3.07 assists per game, while shooting 36.3 percent from 3-point range and 75.6 percent from the line. This past season, Davis scored a season-high 13 points in three contests, before her campaign was cut short due to injury in late January.
"We are excited to welcome Victoria into our Pack. She is extremely fast and an excellent defender," said Nevada head coach
Amanda Levens. "Tori is also a very good scorer who can create for others. Our community will be excited to see Tori impact our team next season."Â
Davis starred as a prep at Hamilton High School in Chandler, Ariz., being a McDonald's All-America nominee in 2019-20. She was named All-City of Chandler Player of the Year as a sophomore (2017-18) and was a three-time member of the AIA All-Section First Team (2018-20). Coming out of high school, she was ranked the No. 60 point guard by espnW.
Davis is the fourth member of Nevada's newcomer class ahead of the 2022-23 campaign, joining transfers Jordan Cruz (Sacramento, Calif. / Pacific / Utah / C.K. McClatchy HS) and Gabby Giuffre (La Selva Beach, Calif. / San Diego / Aptos HS), and prep signee Kennedy Lee (Las Vegas, Nev. / Centennial HS). The quartet joins a Wolf Pack program which went 20-13Â overall and 11-6 in Mountain West play in 2021-22, posting its first 20-win season since 2010-11. The Pack made its second postseason appearance under Levens, reaching the third-place game of the 2022 Women's Basketball Invitational.
