RENO, Nev. – The Nevada women's golf team went lower than any other team in program history.
Victoria Gailey and
Leah John led the Pack into the postseason as individuals for the first time.
The Pack shot 297.50 for the 2021-22 season, which is the lowest team-scoring average in program history. The mark bested the previous low (298.70) which was set during the 2018-19 season. Six golfers set a career-low round during the 2021-22 season.
Maddy Zunino matched her career-low with a 74 in the Fresno State Classic.
Raesa Sheikh shot 76 in The Gunrock Invitational to record a career-low round.
Kaitlin Fleiner came out on fire at The Show at Spanish Trail with a first-round 71. Fleiner lowered her scoring average by almost nine strokes from 2021 (85.67) to 2022 (76.80). She continues to shoot even lower each year.
Anitra Khoth shot a low of 68 in the second round of the Ram Classic to mark a personal best. Khoth dropped her personal scoring average from 77.29 in 2021 to 74.67 in 2022 to mark a very significant improvement in play from year-to-year.
Leah John shot 66 in the second round of The Show at Spanish Trail to help earn a tournament win for the first time in her career. She became the eighth golfer to earn an individual victory in program history. John also lowered her scoring average by over a stroke from 2021 (75.06) to 2022 (74.03) to post a career year. John tied the fourth-lowest average score in the history of Nevada women's golf.
Victoria Gailey finished with the second-lowest average score in program history (73.39) and owns the top three lowest average scores for Nevada women's golf.

Gailey shot a third-round 68 in the Mountain West Championship, which is the lowest single-round score at an MW Championship. It tied the lowest score at a conference championship in program history set by Erin Long (2004, 1st round) at the Western Athletic Conference Championship.
The stellar season was capped with individual appearances for Gailey and John at NCAA Regionals. Both golfers competed in the Stanford Regional with Gailey finishing tied for 30th and John finishing tied for 58th.
Overall, for Nevada women's golf, the scores have continued to plummet over the last 10 seasons. The team posted 10 top-10 finishes including runner-up finishes at The Ptarmigan Ram Classic on Oct. 19 and The Show at Spanish Trail on Feb. 15.
