Nevada set for home series against the Lobos

RENO, Nev. - Nevada softball will be taking on the San Jose State Spartans for a 3-game series on April 22-24 at Hixson Park. 

WHAT'S ON THE AGENDA?
The Pack weekend against the Lobos starts with a game on Friday at 3 p.m.
The games on Saturday and Sunday are set for 12 p.m.
Live stats and live stream for all the game can be found at the NevadaWolfPack.com.
Nevada Sports Net will be broadcasting Friday and Sunday games. 

PACK CAPACITY
This weekend, we are expecting at capacity crowds, with limited seating available. We strongly encourage fans to bring blankets or folding chairs, as there will be grass seating available along both the first and third base sides, as well as the outfield. With the warm and sunny spring weather canopies and umbrellas are also welcomed and encouraged, so long as they are not blocking the view of the fans around you.

LAST TIME OUT
Nevada dropped a close series 2-1 against Utah State on April 14-16.
The Pack won game one 10-9 on a walk off in the extra inning.
While the Aggies topped the Pack 5-6 and 7-8 on games two and three.

SCOUTING THE LOBOS
The Lobos are led by Andea Howard with a .417 batting average. Howard also records 33 runs, 50 hit, eight doubles, three triples, 15 home runs and 45 RBIs. Peyton Robinson also powers the offense with a .348 batting average, 30 runs, 40 hits, two doubles, two triples, and five RBI.
In the circle, the Lobos are led by Emma Guindon with a 2.40 ERA. Guindon holds a 12-6 winning record in 122.1 innings played and 97 strikeouts. Amber Linton also powers the defense with 3.79 ERA, a 10-9 record in a 118.1 inning played, and 118 strikeouts.

SENINI AT THE TOP
Chelie Senini continues her success as the top conference player in stolen bases.
Senini is currently 37-39 in stolen bases this season.
The sophomore is close to break the conference record for most stolen bases in a season.
The record was set in 2019 by McKenzie Wilson (FS) with 39 stolen bases in all games.
The Reno native also leads the Pack offense, with a .329 batting average in 48 hits, 36 runs, 10 RBI, one home run, three double-base hits, and two triple-base hits.

SENIOR OFFENSE
Following Senini, seniors Jessica Sellers and Lauren Gutierrez also powers the Pack offense.
Sellers has a .323 batting average in 42 hits, 18 runs, nine doubles, one triple, and four home runs.
The Reno native is tied with Aaliyah Jenkins for most RBIs this season with 29.
Gutierrez records a .310 batting average in 22 hits, 11 runs, five doubles, and 21 RBIs.

BOMB JENKINS
Freshman, Aaliyah Jenkins has now nine home runs this season.
During the series against the Utah State, Jenkins recorded one home run on April 16.
The freshman has scored one home run against North Texas on Feb. 19, Weber State on Feb. 24, Utah Valley on Feb. 26, Pacific on March 13, Boise State on March 25, Sacramento State on April 6, and two against San Jose State.

HOME RUN CLUB
Jenkins is followed by senior Jessica Sellers with four home runs.
During the first game against the Aggies, Alycia Coats recorded her third home run of the season.
In the last game, senior, Danielle Lew scored her secod home run for the Pack.
Charli Hawkins and Kallahan Hunter have joined the club after recording one home run each against the Aggies.
Chelie Senini, Bella Kordonowy, Charli McLendon, and Gennah Sanchez have all tallied one home run this season.
Nevada has now 24 home runs this season.

PITCHING SQUAD
Nevada pitching squad is led by freshman Ellie Garcia. Garcia has a 5.67 ERA with 101.2 innings being played and 86 strikeouts this season. The freshman has a 5-8 record.
Garcia is followed by sophomore Jana Pope with a 5.68 ERA in 19 innings played. Pope is 0-1 in the season with 15 strikeouts.
Pope is followed by sophomore Blake Craft with a 6.09 ERA in 99.0 innings being played. Craft has a 2-13 record with 88 strikeouts in the season.

UP NEXT
Following the weekend, the Pack will be back on the road to play a weekend series against Colorado State April 29-May 1. First pitch on Friday is set for 3 p.m.
While the games on Saturday and Sunday will begin at noon, and 11 a.m., respectively.
