ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Nevada was swept, 4-0, by Air Force Saturday afternoon in its Mountain West opener in Albuquerque.
The Pack (6-4, 0-1 MW) will face pod host New Mexico Sunday at 10:30 a.m. PT to close the weekend.
Saturday, Nevada quickly fell behind as Air Force (13-3, 2-0 MW) captured matching 6-2 victories at the Nos. 1 and 3 doubles spots. In singles play, the Pack suffered straight-sets defeats at Nos. 2, 4, and 5 to fall in defeat.
Bright spots for Nevada included Gabrielle Charalampidi capturing the first set of her match at No. 6, 6-3, before the dual was clinched, and
Anastasia Luneva in control of the second set at 5-1 before play was called due to Air Force clinching.
