Nevada rolls past Pacific in home opener

RENO, Nev. - Nevada men's tennis rolled to a 6-1 victory over Pacific in its 2022 home opener at McArthur Tennis Center Sunday.
Sunday's match was rescheduled after the previous day's original match was postponed due to inclement weather. Nevada (12-5) will host Denver Monday at 2 p.m. in a rescheduling of a match that was originally set for Sunday.
Against Pacific (3-10), the Pack quickly nabbed the doubles point, as the tandem of Juan Batalla and Daniel Dudockin took a 6-0 victory over Coby McCaig and Liam Puttergill. Loris Zisswiller and Satchel Benn clinched the point with a 6-2 win over Aleska Mardjonovic and Ran Amar.
Nevada's momentum continued in singles play. Zisswiller dispatched Puttergill, 6-2, 6-2, to get it started at No. 5, while at No. 1, Matheo Coupu beat Mardjonovic, 6-3, 6-1 to put Nevada on the precipice of victory.
The match-clinching point came from Delmas N'Tcha's 6-3, 6-3 victory over Amar at No. 3. With the teams playing out the rest of the matches, additional Pack wins were bagged by Dudockin (6-2, 6-2 at No. 6) over McCaig, and Satchel Benn (7-5, 6-2 at No. 4) over Manroop Saini.
