DAVIS, Calif. -Â Nevada men's tennis' weekend opened with a 4-3 defeat at the hands of BYU in Davis.
The Pack (8-4) battled back in singles play, capturing three matches, but the doubles point, going to BYU, would make the difference.
In singles play, the Pack got wins at the Nos. 1, 3, and 6 spots. At No. 1,
Matheo Coupu defeated Jack Barnett, 6-3, 7-6 (4), while
Juan Batalla picked up a 7-6 (1), 6-4 victory at No. 3 over Matheus Ferreira Lei. At No. 6,
Ambroise Marchand picked up another straight-sets win, 6-2, 6-3, over Zach Fuchs.
Nevada continues its weekend of action Sunday at Saint Mary's. The match against the Gaels is scheduled for a 1 p.m. first serve.
