SERIES HISTORY

Nevada defeated Boise State, 41-31, at Albertsons Stadium last season, snapping a six-game slide against the Broncos.
ABOUT BOISE STATE
Boise State (6-3, 5-0 MW) brings an unbeaten Mountain West mark into Saturday's contest, although the Broncos dropped a 31-28 non-conference decision to BYU this past weekend. The Broncos are 4-1 since Taylen Green took the reins as the team's starting quarterback, ahead of the Sept. 30 contest against San Diego State.
NEVADA AFTER THE BYE WEEK
Nevada has won three of its past four games after a bye (2018-19, 2021) heading into this Friday's contest. The three-game winning streak was snapped Oct. 7, when the Pack fell, 17-14, to Colorado State after its first bye of this season.
This Saturday's contest marks the second-straight season in which Nevada comes off of a bye to play Boise State. Last year, the Pack came off of its bye week with a 41-31 victory at Boise State, Oct. 2.
GETTING TO THE QB
Nevada's defense made a season-high five sacks in Oct. 29's game at San José State, led by two from defensive tackle William Green. Green's sacks were his first in a Wolf Pack uniform, and he was joined in the sack party by
Dom Peterson, Marcel Walker, and Drue Watts.
WATTS CONTINUES HIS TFL STREAK
This Saturday's contest against Boise State features two of the conference's leading candidates for Freshman of the Year in Nevada redshirt freshman linebacker Drue Watts and Bronco redshirt freshman quarterback Taylen Green.
Watts is second on the Wolf Pack with 8.0 tackles-for-loss, and carries a streak of eight games with a TFL into Saturday's matchup. At San José State, he made his second sack of the campaign, and brought his tackle total up to 43 tackles (32 solo) on the year.
SLINGIN' SHANE
Quarterback Shane Illingworth had his best game in a Nevada uniform Oct. 29 at San José State, finishing 18-for-29 for 223 yards and a touchdown, with just one interception.
Illingworth also had the long ball working, in the contest, hitting three completions of over 20 yards, including a 53-yard strike to BJ Casteel for a Pack touchdown. That play served as the Pack's longest from scrimmage on the season, and was Casteel's second scoring grab.
CASTEEL, CAMPBELL HAULIN' 'EM IN
Wide receivers BJ Casteel and Dalevon Campbell, transfers from Arizona and Illinois, respectively, have been coming on of late as targets in the Wolf Pack passing attack.
Casteel made seven catches for a season-high 149 yards and a touchdown Oct. 29 at San José State, posting the Pack's first 100-yard receiving game this season. His haul included a 53-yard scoring grab from quarterback Shane Illingworth. The performance made him Nevada's leader in receptions (33) and receiving yards (397), and co-leader in touchdown catches (two).
Over the past four games, Casteel has caught 24 balls for 265 yards and a score.
Campbell, meanwhile, set season highs in both catches (eight) and receiving yards (79) in San Jose. Over Nevada's past two games, he's caught 13 passes for 110 yards.
