Lundin Bennett to speak at USA Basketball Women in the Game Conference

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Nevada Athletics Senior Associate Athletic Director and Senior Woman Administrator Rhonda Lundin Bennett has been announced as a speaker at the USA Basketball Women in the Game Conference on Sept. 24 in Las Vegas, USA Basketball announced Monday.
 
The conference is for high school girls, female college students and young professional women interested in pursuing careers in the sports industry. Leaders from a variety of sports business fields will speak about their career journeys, essential characteristics to succeed in their roles, practical strategies to get started in the sports industry and how to sustain a position in a highly competitive environment.
 
Bennett will be among a group of eight scheduled to speak at the event, including Las Vegas Aces president Nikki Fargas and Los Angeles Sparks interim president and chief operating officer Natalie White.
 
Bennett was named to the NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Sport Committee in 2014, serving from 2014-19 and again in 2021. She was also the chair of the committee in 2018 and 2019.
 
In her current role, Bennett oversees three Wolf Pack sports (women's basketball, women's soccer, and men's and women's tennis) as well as three support units (sports medicine, strength & conditioning and video). She is a member of the athletics senior staff and serves as a deputy Title IX coordinator for the University and Nevada's NCAA athletics healthcare administrator. She also oversees Nevada's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and the department's community service efforts, helping the Wolf Pack to four wins in the community service challenge.
 
Bennett is also active at the conference and national level. She is a member of the Mountain West Conference Joint Council. She served as the chair of the Mountain West Senior Woman Administrator committee in 2013-14 and completed terms on the MW Recognition and Executive committees.
