2021 Governor’s Dinner Tickets on Sale; Event Features Las Vegas Raiders QB Derek Carr

RENO, Nev. – The Governor's Dinner returns in 2021 after a one-year hiatus, taking place Wednesday, July 14, on the grounds of the Governor's Mansion in Carson City.

Las Vegas Raiders quarterback and former Fresno State (2009-13) star player Derek Carr will headline Northern Nevada's premier summer social event. Carr has declined the speaker honorarium and has asked to have the funds returned to Wolf Pack Athletics to support scholarships for student-athletes.

Carr, coming off of a 2020 campaign in which he threw for 4,103 yards and 27 touchdowns, etched his name atop yet another career statistical category in the Raider record book, becoming the franchise's all-time leader in touchdown passes, eclipsing Hall of Famer Ken Stabler's previous mark of 150, this past Oct. 4 against Buffalo, at Allegiant Stadium. On Sept. 15, 2019, Carr became the Raiders' all-time passing leader, overtaking Stabler's mark of 19,078 passing yards.

Carr's team records stand at 26,896 passing yards and 170 touchdowns over his seven-year career.

The 52nd annual Governor's Dinner kicks off with a private VIP reception featuring live music and cocktails at 5 p.m., and the backyard opens to other guests at 6 p.m., with the dinner and program at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $350 per person and tables of 10 for $3,500. VIP tickets, which include the pre-event VIP reception along with complimentary valet, pictures with Carr, and premier reserved seating for the dinner and program, are $500 a person with tables at $5,000.
