LAS VEGAS -Â Nevada's first road trip in a month got off to a tough start Friday, as the Pack fell, 4-1, at arch-rival UNLV.
Daniel Dudockin picked up the Pack's lone win of the day, defeating Milos Dabic, 6-4, 6-2, to bring Nevada within 2-1 early in singles action. But the Rebels would get the better of three matches in which the opening set went to a tiebreaker, capturing the lone one of those which finished, as Alex Kobelt defeated
Delmas N'Tcha, 7-6 (4), 6-4 at No. 1.
That win put UNLV (10-10, 4-1 MW) on the cusp of clinching the match, and the Rebels did just that as Eric Samuelsson came back from a set down to defeat
Isaac Nortey at No. 2, 1-6, 7-5, 6-2.
The Pack (5-10, 1-4 MW) will try to salvage a split of the weekend Sunday, as it heads to San Diego State to face the Aztecs in a 12 p.m. dual.
