SAN DIEGO -Â Nevada's weekend closed with a 4-0 defeat Sunday at San Diego State. The Pack will close the Mountain West campaign next Saturday, April 24, in a noon dual at Fresno State.
Sunday, Nevada (5-11, 1-5 MW) fell behind early as San Diego State captured the doubles point. Singles play was not much better for the Pack, as the Aztecs grabbed straight-sets wins at Nos. 3 and 4 to take the 3-0 lead and push Nevada to the brink. Rafael Gonzalez' 6-2, 3-6, 6-1 win over Nevada's
Juan Batalla at No. 5 would deliver the dual-clinching point to San Diego State.
The Pack tandem of
Daniel Dudockin and
Delmas N'Tcha picked up a 6-3 victory at No. 3 doubles in the afternoon, while, in singles play, N'Tcha led Johannes Seeman, 6-4, 6-5, at the No. 1 spot before the match was stopped upon the Aztec clinch. At No. 6,
Loris Zisswiller led Judson Blair, 6-4, 2-6, 4-2 at the time the dual was clinched.
