RENO, Nev. -Â Nevada's four-week home stand came to a close Sunday as the Pack was swept, 4-0, by Utah State, in Mountain West action.
The Pack (5-9, 1-3 MW) dropped its fourth in a row, losing the doubles point before Utah State wins at Nos. 4, 5, and 6 in singles play clinched the dual.
Isaac Nortey was a bright spot for Nevada Sunday, capturing the first set of his singles match at No. 2, 6-4, before his match was stopped in the second set once the Aggies had clinched the fourth point elsewhere.
Utah State (11-6, 2-2 MW) picked up straight-sets wins in its singles victories, with the clincher coming at No. 6 with Arvid Hjalte's 6-4, 6-2 win over
Benjamin Campi.
Nevada heads out onto the road next week for the first time in conference play, visiting UNLV Friday, April 16, at 3 p.m., before closing the weekend Sunday at San Diego State at noon.
