ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The Nevada softball team's (14-10, 8-3 conf.) three-run seventh inning pushed the Pack over New Mexico, 8-7, in game two on Saturday. Nevada fell to the Lobos in the first game, 12-4.
Julia Jensen (2-2) tallied the game one loss for Nevada. Jensen threw three innings, tallying two strike outs and giving up seven runs. The Pack was led on offense by Chelie Senini, who went 2-for-2 with two runs. Sadaria McAlister, Sierra Mello and Danielle Lew each registered a hit.
Kendall Fritz (5-3) secured the game two win for Nevada, throwing a complete game with six strikeouts. Fritz gave up seven runs on eight hits. Nevada was paced offensively by Sadaria McAlister, who went 3-for-3 with three runs. Kenzi Goins also put together a noteworthy performance, going 2-for-2 with a home run and four RBI.Goins also drew two walks. Ashley Salausa also tallied a standout performance with two hits, two runs and one RBI. Chelie Senini, Lauren Gutierrez, Charli Hawkins and Danielle Lew also tallied a hit each.

How It Happened
GAME 1
The Pack jumped to an early 2-0 lead in the first. Salausa's sacrifice fly to right scored Senini from third. Then, Gutierrez scored on a throwing error by New Mexico's shortstop to push Nevada's lead to two.
New Mexico tied the game at two in the bottom of the first.
Nevada responded in the second, scoring a run on McAlister's RBI single to center, which scored Senini from second.
The Lobos gained the lead in the bottom of the second on a three-run home run.
Nevada cut the lead to 5-4 in the top of the third on Mello's RBI single that scored Gutierrez.
New Mexico scored seven runs in the bottom of the fourth to take game one.
GAME 2
Gutierrez's RBI single to right pushed Senini across home to give Nevada an early 1-0 lead in the first.
In the top of the second, Salausa's RBI single to center scored McAlister to extend Nevada's lead to 2-0.
New Mexico took the lead on a three-run home run in the bottom of the third.
Both teams were held scoreless in the fourth.
Goins launched a three-run home run to center in the top of the fifth to push the Pack to a 5-3 lead.
The Lobos scored four runs in the bottom of the sixth to regain their lead to 7-5.
Goins drew a bases-loaded walk in the top of the seventh to score McAlister and cut New Mexico's lead to 7-6. Then, Mello scored Gutierrez from third on a fielder's choice to tie the game. Next, Jessica Sellers' RBI ground out to second scored Salausa from third to give Nevada an 8-7 lead.
