Biography

2021 (Sr.)  – Started 37 games … Finished the season tied for first on the team in home runs (5), eighth on the team in batting average (.276), sixth in runs scored (19), fifth in hits (32) and second in doubles (9) … recorded eight multi-hit games … tallied a season-high four RBI against New Mexico … Recorded a season-high two doubles against Idaho State … Was the first Wolf Pack player to hit a home run on the season after launching a two-run shot against UC Davis … Made just two errors and compiled 11 putouts in left field.

2020 (Sr. *Season shorted due to COVID-19) – Started the season as the starting first baseman but moved over to shortstop during the Long Beach State game in the Puerto Vallarta College Challenge … Played in five games with five starts before being sidelines with an injury … Prior to her injury, went 2-for-4 against Utah Valley with two runs scored and an RBI … Finished the year with a .333 batting average, five hits and two runs scored.

2019 (Jr.) – Started and played 53 contests on the year … Moved to the outfield in 2019 and primarily played right field … Finished the season ranked third on the team in batting average (.314) but first in slugging percentage (545) … Was first on the team in home runs (10) and walks (28) but was third in runs and hits … Went 3-for-4 with two runs scored, four RBI, a double and a home run in the win over CBU in the Libby Matson tournament … Hit a home run in three straight games starting in the finale against Boise State where she hit 2-for-4 with three runs scored and carried it into the first two games against UNLV … Tallied 12 multi-hit games along with 10 multi-RBI games … Had a team high 22 game streak where she reached base … Finished the season on a two game hitting streak and a five game reach base streak … Helped Nevada to the NISC for the third year in a row ... Named Academic All-Conference … Letter winner.

2018 (So.) – Recorded a breakout year that resulted in her garnering a first team All-Mountain West selection for the first time in her career and second All-Conference honor … Earned the first MW Player of the Week accolade of her career, after batting .727 with five RBIs, five runs scored and launching a home run in Nevada’s series win over Utah State … Put together a four-week stretch during conference play having recorded eight multiple hit performances in 11 games, including five three-hit outings … Found herself amongst the conference’s best hitters ranking inside the top 15 in nearly every major offensive category including batting average (14th, .353), slugging percentage (15th, .551), runs scored (11th, 37), hits (T11th, 55), RBIs (T10th, 38), home runs (T7th, 7) and total bases (14th, 86) … Led the Wolf Pack with seven three-hit outings on the season, finishing the year with 16 multiple hit games … Ranked second on the team in home runs (7) and walks (19), and third in hits (55), runs (37) and doubles (10) … Opened the season receiving All-Tournament honors at the Puerto Vallarta College Challenge, having scored four runs and batting .667 in the tournament …. Set a career-high seven total bases in the Pack’s win over first place San José State … Helped Nevada make back-to-back postseason appearances since the 2008-09 seasons … Letter winner.

2017 (Fr.) – Earned second team MW All-Conference honors after helping lead the Pack to the program’s first postseason berth since the 2009 season … Started in 49 games, while appearing in a total of 53 contests … Finished her rookie campaign as one of the Pack’s top hitters, batting .314, recording a team-high 12 doubles and posting the second-most hits (53) and RBIs (31) … Came to the plate seven times against Colorado State, which tied a program record for most ABs in a game … Led the team with 84 ABs and tied for the team-high with 28 hits during conference play … Recorded a team-high streak of reaching base safely in 24 consecutive games … Posted 13 multi-hit games, including a team-high four three-hit games … Connected on her first career hit in Nevada’s win over Southern Utah … Drove in a career-high four runs in the Pack’s comeback win over Pacific in the semifinal game of the NISC Regional … Launched her first career home run against Fresno State, sealing the Pack’s first series win of the season … Crossed the plate a career-high three times in the Nevada’s win over Portland State ... Letter winner.

HIGH SCHOOL – A catalyst for one of the best high school programs in the state of Nevada … A three-time All-State performer at shortstop … Led Reed HS to four-consecutive regional championships … Helped the Raiders to the Division I State Championship after hitting .403 with three home runs, 53 runs scored and 36 RBI out of the leadoff spot … Went 1-for-4 with a run scored in the 3-2 extra innings victory over Palo Verde … Hit .373/.388/.566 as a sophomore with three home runs … Played in 14 varsity contests as a freshman and hit .349 in 45 plate appearances.

PERSONAL – Daughter of April and Derek Goins … Has one older sister, Madison … Is majoring in Human Development and Family Studies … Chose Nevada because, “This is my hometown, born and raised so I figured what better feeling than to play for your own hometown’s college.” … Also offered by UNLV but chose the Wolf Pack to play for the home town team … Lists Jackie Robinson as her sports hero … The most memorable moment of her career was winning the state title her junior year in Las Vegas … Enjoys camping, visiting family and friends, riding quads, snowmobiles, jet skis, and hunting with her dad, great uncle and cousin.
