RENO, NEV. – After starting the indoor season a couple weeks ago, the Nevada track and field team has officially released their outdoor schedule.
The Wolf Pack will compete in a total of seven meets throughout the outdoor season. Six of those will be regular season meets while one of them will be the Mountain West Outdoor Championships that will be located in Fresno.
The first meet of the outdoor season will be the Sac State Tri-Meet located in Sacramento, Calif. The meet will be completed throughout one day on Feb. 27. The last time the Pack competed in Sacramento was during the 2019 outdoor season where they competed in the Hornet Invitational.
March will see the Pack compete in two meets, the first being the UNLV Spring Invite and Multis located in Las Vegas, Nev. This meet will be held from March 18-20 and is the first time the Pack has competed in Las Vegas for an outdoor competition since 2013. The second meet will be the Texas Relays hosted by the University of Texas. The meet will be held in Austin, Texas and will go from March 26-27.
April will be packed with three different meets over the course of the month. The Pack will compete in the Mountain West Challenge hosted by San Diego State on April 7. The team will also compete in the Bryan Clay Multi again which will be held again in Azusa, Calif. from April 9-10. Lastly, Rice University will be hosting the Rice Twilight in Houston, Texas on April 24.
The last three meets will all be championships the first being the MW Outdoor Championships being hosted by Fresno State. This meet will be in Clovis, Calif. and will be held from May 12-15. The NCAA Outdoor Championship Preliminary will be hosted by Texas A&M in College Station, Texas. This meet will be from May 27-29. Lastly, the final for the NCAA Championships will be held by the University of Oregon from June 9-12.
The track and field team will look to continue in indoor competition at the Championships at the Peak hosted by Air Force from Feb. 25-27.
