RENO, Nev. – The Nevada volleyball team dropped the series finale match, 3-1, to Colorado State Saturday evening from Virginia Street Gym.
Colorado State (3-1, 3-1 MW) looked poised for a three game sweep of the Wolf Pack (0-4, 0-4 MW), but Nevada fought back to claim victory in the third set. The Rams won a close first set, 25-23, and were victorious in set two, 25-14, but the Wolf Pack gave Colorado State a fight down the stretch.
Nevada did not trail in the third set until Colorado State took a 16-15 lead. From there the set remained tight as both teams traded points back and forth. Nevada had built up a 24-20 lead and was closing in on set point, but the Rams mounted a comeback attempt as they tried to grab the 3-0 sweep. A ball handling error though by CSU handed the Wolf Pack the 25-23 set win. In the fourth set however the Rams never trailed and took the set 25-20 to win the match, 3-1.

Reka Monteleone and
Alyssa Zuro led the team with 10 kills each.
Andrea Alcaraz picked up 29 assists in the match and
Kaila Spevak registered 16 digs.
Nevada remains at home to host Air Force on Friday, Feb. 19 and Saturday, Feb. 20 with both games beginning at 1 p.m.
