RENO, Nev. - Nevada (6-4) wraps up its regular-season, non-conference slate Tuesday night, hosting Grand Canyon (10-2) at Lawlor Events Center at 7 p.m.
Tuesday's contest will be broadcast on Nevada Sports Net, with Alex Margulies and Keith Fuetsch on the call. The game will also be carried over the airwaves in Reno on ESPN Radio 94.5 FM and online through the Varsity Network app, with John Ramey and Len Stevens calling the action.

The Wolf Pack opens up Mountain West play upon return from the holiday break. Nevada will head out onto the road for the first time in over a month when it makes the short hop to the Bay Area to face San José State, Dec. 29, at 8 p.m.
SCOUTING GRAND CANYON
Grand Canyon (10-2) enters Tuesday's contest with two-straight wins, most recently capturing a 49-48 victory over San Francisco Saturday night.
The Lopes are led by the play of Jovan Blacksher Jr., who is averaging 16.5 points per game and leads the team with 28 3-pointers made. Holland Woods II is also scoring in double figures, averaging 13.3 points per game to go with 23 3-pointers.

Nevada ran its season-best winning streak to five with Saturday's 68-63 victory over LMU.
Point guard
Grant Sherfield posted his fifth-straight game scoring at least 20 points, finishing with 24 on the night. Sherfield scored 20 of his game-high 24 points in the second half, including a late stretch in which he scored six of eight Wolf Pack points to overcome a 56-55 deficit.
Will Baker scored 13 points with six rebounds for the Wolf Pack, while
Desmond Cambridge Jr. added 10.
SHERFIELD NAMED MOUNTAIN WEST PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Grant Sherfield was named the Mountain West Player of the Week for the week of Dec. 13-19 after his standout performance in wins over Minnesota Duluth and Loyola Marymount.
Sherfield, one of the top point guards in the country, averaged 26.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 6.50 assists over the Wolf Pack's wins over Minnesota Duluth and Loyola Marymount last week. The junior also shot 53.3 percent (16-for-30) from the field, 55.6 percent (5-for-9) from behind the arc, and 93.8 percent (15-for-16) from the line as Nevada stretched its season-best winning streak to five.
Dec. 15 against UMD, Sherfield posted his second double-double of the season, going for 28 points and a career-high 12 rebounds in the 98-62 win. He also finished with nine assists, coming up just one helper shy of notching Nevada's first triple-double since January 1979.
Three days later, Sherfield was key in Nevada's 68-63 win over LMU, scoring 20 of his game-high 24 points in the second half, including a late stretch in which he scored six of Nevada's eight points to overcome a late 56-55 deficit.

Grant Sherfield's current five-game stretch has brought his season numbers to among the best amongthe nation's point guards.
Through Dec. 19, Sherfield ranks ninth in the country in assists per game (6.50) and 20th in scoring (20.0 ppg). He is the only player in the country averaging at least 20 points and six assists per game.
PACK ON LONGEST WINNING STREAK IN TWO YEARS
Saturday night's win over LMU ran the Wolf Pack's winning streak to a season-best five games. The streak, which began with Nov. 23's 88-69 victory over George Mason at the Crossover Classic in Sioux Falls, S.D., is Nevada's longest since a six-game run from Feb. 4-25, 2020.

Nevada's defense has locked down on its opponents over this current five-game winning streak. None of the Pack's opponents during this run have scored more than 69 points in a game, combining to score just 64.4 per contest.
