Roden notched her third-straight double digit scoring performance after registering 16 points, five rebounds and two assists. Da'Ja Hamilton joined Jimenez and Roden in double figures after tallying 11 points and one assist. Nia Alexander produced on both ends of the court and led Nevada with six rebounds and four steals while adding four points.

An Alexander layup in the middle of the paint brought the Pack within eight with 7:31 left in the second. Drake responded with a bucket, but Roden fired back fired back with a layup to bring the score to 35-27. Then, Lexie Givens hit a jumper to close the Bulldog lead to 35-29. Alyssa Jimenez ended the quarter with a steal and layup. Drake went to the locker room with a 43-36 lead.

Back-to-back jumpers by Roden cut Drake's lead to 74-72. Back-to-back free throw misses by Drake gave Nevada the ball back with under a minute, but the Pack didn't convert, prompting Nevada to foul and send the Bulldogs to the line.
