Reno, Nev. - The Nevada volleyball team dropped its match against the Fresno State Bulldogs on Thursday afternoon. The Bulldogs went up 2-0 with final scores of 25-23 in both sets, to close the match in 3-0 after a victory of 25-22 in the third set.Â
Senior, Kyla Waiters led the Pack with 12 kills, in a .184 hitting percentage and one solo block. Waiters was followed by junior Sydney Petersen, who recorded seven kills, one service ace, and four solo blocks.
Junior, Andrea Alcaraz recorded 26 assists, two kills, and one solo block.
Senior, Kaila Spevak led the Pack defense with 15 digs, and one service ace. In today's match, Spevak passed the 700 digs mark in her career for the Nevada Wolf Pack team.
As a team, Nevada scored seven total blocks, 34 kills in a .107 hitting percentage.
The Pack started the first set in a three-score run. The Bulldogs tied the game 7-7 but the Pack continued with the lead up to the 20-20 mark. Fresno State picks up the lead, after a three-score run, and closed the set in 25-23.
The same situation happened in set two where Nevada took an early lead, with a three-score run. The Bulldogs tied the game in 12-12, but the Pack continued on the lead. The Bulldogs tied the game again in the 20-20 mark, and reverse the scoreboard to close the set in 25-23.Â
In the third set, Nevada put five points on the board, forcing the Bulldogs to call a timeout. Nevada continued on the lead up to the 19-19 mark, where Fresno State tied the game. The Bulldogs reversed the score, after a two-score run, closing the set in 25-22, and the match in 3-0.

The Nevada volleyball team will now hit the road to face the Colorado State Rams on Nov. 4, and the Wyoming Cowgirls on Nov. 6. Both matches will be live-streamed through the Mountain West Network and live stats are going to be on the Nevada Wolf Pack website.Â
