UP NEXT
Nevada will be home for two weekends in a row following the trip to Wyoming. The Pack will host UNLV Sunday, Jan. 31, and Tuesday, Feb. 2, before Boise State comes to town for a two-game series set for Friday, Feb. 5 and Sunday, Feb. 7.

PACK ERASES 20-POINT HOLE, BUT CAN'T FINISH COMEBACK
Friday's series opener at Wyoming featured some wild swings, including Nevada coming all the way back from a 20-point, second-half deficit, but in the end, it was the Cowboys who would recover to capture the 71-64 win.

Wyoming made eight 3-pointers in the first half to take a 33-21 lead at the break, and ran off the second half's first eight points to extend the advantage to 20 at 41-21 with 17:50 to play.

But, behind a career-high 21-point effort from Warren Washington, and 16 points from Desmond Cambridge, Jr., the Pack fought all the way back, outscoring the Cowboys, 28-7, to take a 49-48 lead with 7:20 to play. But the Pack would go just 4-for-15 the rest of the way, and Wyoming would use a 9-0 run to take a 59-50 lead that it would not relinquish.

RECENT HISTORY OF CLIMBING OUT OF 20-POINT HOLES
Nevada erasing a 20-point deficit Friday night was not that new of a sight for many Wolf Pack fans. It marked the third time since the 2016-17 campaign that the Pack has come all the way back from being down at least 20.

On Jan. 7, 2017, Nevada trailed New Mexico, 74-49, with 11 minutes to go at The Pit, before coming all the way back to force overtime and eventually capture the 105-104 victory. A year later, in the NCAA Tournament Second Round, the Pack found itself in a 22-point hole at 65-43 with 11:37 to go. Once again, Nevada would come all the way back, capping the 75-73 win in Nashville with Josh Hall's jumper in the paint with nine seconds left.

CAREER NIGHT FROM WASHINGTON
Redshirt sophomore center Warren Washington may just have had his breakout game Friday at Wyoming, scoring a career-high 21 points on 8-of-11 shooting to go with nine rebounds.

Washington, a transfer from Oregon State who sat out the 2019-20 season due to NCAA transfer rules, scored 14 of his 21 points in the second half to help fuel Nevada's erasure of a 20-point deficit. The performance upped his season averages to 9.4 points per game, third on the team, and 5.1 rebounds a game, second on the squad, with a team-best 64.7 field-goal percentage. In Mountain West play, Washington's numbers are even better, as he's gone for 10.7 points and 6.0 rebounds a game while shooting 66.7 percent (36-for-54).

STRONG TRANSFER CONTRIBUTION
Grant Sherfield's (Wichita State) and Desmond Cambridge, Jr.'s (Brown) contributions, averaging 18.1 and 15.2 points per game, respectively, underscore a larger point to the Pack's fortunes in 2020-21, that being the impact of a trio of transfers, with redshirt sophomore forward Warren Washington (Oregon State) in that group.

The trio, of which each member has started every single game for Nevada this season, makes up the Pack's top-three scorers, as well as in conference play, as Sherfield is at 18.4 points a game, Cambridge, Jr., at 16.1, and Washington at 10.7 over nine Mountain West contests.
