SACRAMENTO, Calif. - The University of Nevada (6-3) men's tennis team improved to 6-3 on the season after  defeating Sacramento State (1-5) 5-2 on Sunday at the Sacramento State Tennis Courts.  The Wolf Pack next plays at Cal on Feb. 22 at 1 p.m.

Nevada won all three doubles matches to earn the first point of the day.  Julien Evrard and Isaac Nortey started the match with a 6-2 victory on court 1 and Delmas N'Tcha and Gvidas Motuzas clinched the point with a 6-4 victory at No. 2 doubles.  On court 3 Benjamin Campi and Daniel Dudockin made it a sweep with a 7-5 win.

Motuzas put Nevada up 2-0 with a 6-4, 6-3 win over Michael Vizcarra at No. 5 singles.  Dudockin got the Pack within a point of clinching with a 6-1, 6-4 victory over the Hornets Michael Vizcarra on court 4.

Sacramento State got its first win at No. 6 singles when Anton De La Puento scored a 6-3, 6-4 win over Nevada's Campi.  Nortey clinched the match for Nevada at No. 2 singles with a straight set 6-1, 7-5 victory over the Hornets Elliot Arnarp.  

Evrard dropped his match at No. 1 singles in three sets to Hermont Legaspi 5-7, 6-2 and 10-4.  N'Tcha earned the Pack its fifth point at No. 3 singles with a three-set 6-4, 2-6 and 6-3 victory.
