SALT LAKE CITY  – The University of Nevada (5-1) men's tennis team suffered its first loss of the season falling 6-1 at Utah (3-2) on Saturday.  The Wolf Pack is now 5-1 and plays Montana on Sunday in Salt Lake City.

The Utes won the doubles point with victories on courts 1 and 3.  Utah's Slava Shainyan and Azat Hankuliyev defeated Eadwyn Bacar and Benjamin Campi 6-1 at No. 3 doubles in the first completed match of the day. On court 1 Russell Benkaim and Randy Cory clinched the doubles point with a 6-4 victory over Julien Evrard and Isaac Nortey.

The Utes won by default on court 6 and then won the next four matches in straight sets to lead 6-0.  Julien Evrard earned the Pack's point with a 7-6, 7-6 victory at No. 1 singles.  The match was clinched by Shainyan on court 3 with a 6-4, 6-1 win over the Pack's Daniel Dudockin.
