LA JOLLA, Calif.– The University of Nevada women's tennis team started the 2020 spring schedule with a 5-2 victory at UC San Diego.  The Wolf Pack plays at the University of San Diego on Friday at 11 a.m.

Nevada won the No. 2 and 3 doubles matches to earn the first point of the match.  The Pack's team of Anastaysha Gorbacheva and Selina Turulja scored a 6-4 victory on court 3 and the team of Arina Gumerova and Anastasia Luneva clinched the point with a 6-4 victory in No. 2 doubles.

Roos van Reek put the Pack up 2-0 with a straight sets 6-3, 6-1 win on court 3 and freshman Carla Del Barrio made it 3-0 with a 6-1, 6-3 win at No. 6 singles.  Freshman Liza Mintusova clinched the match with a 6-2, 6-3 win on court 2.  Anastasia Luneva earned Nevada its fifth point of the day on court 1 with a three-set 6-2, 5-7 and 10-6 victory.

Arina Gumerova and Anastaysha Gorbacheva dropped three-set matches on courts 4 and 5 to make the final score 5-2.
