RENO, Nev. (AP) - Jaxson Kincaide had 11 carries for 75 yards and a score, Brandon Talton made four field goals, and Nevada beat Weber State 19-13 on Saturday.
Kincaide added five receptions for 53 yards, Toa Taua had 85 yards rushing on 16 carries and Carson Strong was 30-of-44 passing for 299 yards for the Wolf Pack (1-1).
The Wildcats (1-1), who came in ranked No. 6 in the FCS Coaches poll, were forced to punt on the first possession of the second half and Nevada answered with a nine-play, 85-yard drive capped by Kincaide's 33-yard touchdown run to take the lead for good at 16-10.
Trey Tuttle hit a 43-yard field goal and, after the Weber State defense forced a three-and-out on Nevada's ensuing drive, Raoul Johnson blocked a punt to set up an 11-yard touchdown pass from Kaden Jenks to Rashid Shaheed that gave the Wildcats a seven-point lead early in the second quarter. Talton, who made a 36-yard field goal to open the scoring on the game's opening drive, connected from 30 and 25 yards to trim the Wolf Pack's deficit to 10-9 at halftime.
Talton's 34-yard field goal with 4:49 to play capped the scoring.
Nevada finished with 453 total yards while limiting the Wildcats to just 137. Weber State went three-and-out on each of its three fourth-quarter possessions.

Toa Taua eclipsed 1,000 rushing yards for his career after a 13-yard rush in the fourth quarter. He led the Pack with 85 rushing yards on the night, a season high.

Brandon Talton was a perfect 4-for-4 on the night in field goal attempts, with a long of 36 yards. He is the first Nevada player to hit four FGs in a game since Brett Jaekle against Texas Tech on Sept. 6, 2008. Talton has not missed in his career, hitting 8-for-8 this season.

Gabriel Sewell recorded a single-game career-high 3.5 tackles for loss that totaled 11 yards. He finished the game with a season-high six tackles.

Tristan Nichols combined for a sack in the third quarter, the first of Nichols' career and gave Hammond 1.5 for his career. On the same play, Hammond forced a fumble for the first time in his career.

Jaxson Kincaide ripped off a 33-yard run, his longest rush since his freshman season, to give the Pack its first and only touchdown of the game in the third quarter. It marked Kincaide's sixth rushing TD of his career and first since Nov. 10, 2018 vs. Colorado State. He finished the game with 75 rushing yards.

Dom Peterson has recorded at least 1.0 tackle for loss in four consecutive games and in six of the last seven games. He finished today's game with 2.0 TFLs.

Carson Strong was near perfect on the Pack's opening drive of the game, going 5-of-6 for 69 yards and leading Nevada to a field goal attempt. Strong threw for 299 yards, setting a single-game career-high.

-Nevada converted 11-of-20 on third down, while the Wildcats were just 1-of-12.
