Day 7 in Barcelona and I think everyone is finally adjusted to the 9 hour time change! We got to sleep in until about 9am today which was super nice, and then we all met for breakfast in the hotel lobby.  Apparently in Spain, cake is part of their morning menu… I could get used to that! After breakfast we had about an hour of downtime before going to tour the La Sagrada Familia cathedral.
 
As soon as we got off the bus and saw the church, my jaw immediately dropped; I had never seen something so beautifully designed in my life. Each podium, each pillar, each piece of rock was so intricately designed, it was overwhelming trying to take it all in. The tour lasted about an hour and a half and after learning about the history of La Sagrada Familia, we all rushed to get some food at… wait for it… FIVE GUYS BURGERS!! I know what you all might be thinking… but after a week of paella and tapas, we were all ready for a nice and juicy American hamburger. It gave us all the energy we needed to power through our pregame shoot around.
 
Fast forward a little bit and it's game time! The team we played tonight was really physical and played an up-tempo style of play. We were neck and neck the whole game, but ended up coming up short by a few points. It always stings to lose, but we all played super hard and are going to be able to leave Spain knowing we got better as a team, as well as having an idea of what we can improve on collectively.
 
Right now I am going to head to bed and get ready for our beach day tomorrow! And don't worry - for those of you waiting for some Cheetah Girl content - stay tuned!! (I am sure my teammates can't wait for that to be over, I play the Cheetah Girls soundtrack every time we get on the bus. And for some strange reason, nobody seems to enjoy it as much as me???) But anyways, thanks for reading my blog, I am sure you'll be hearing from me again soon!
