Nevada receives CSCAA Scholar All-American individual and team honors

RENO, Nev. – The Nevada swimming and diving team earned a cumulative team GPA of 3.50 in the spring of 2019 semester, which was enough to be recognized by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA). This marks the third year in a row the Wolf Pack has been recognized for both the fall and spring semesters. Along with the team recognition, six were named to the Scholar All-American Team for the 2018-19 season.

"Our team has such a great work-ethic and this is another wonderful result that compliments the academic culture our swimmers and divers have in the classroom," Nevada head coach Brendon Bray said. "Congratulations for all the hard work our team has put in this semester."

Freshmen Julia Adamczyk and Wiktoria Samula along with sophomore Donna dePolo and seniors Rebecca Murray, Jamie Reynolds and Toma Shmitova were all named Honorable Mention All-American after achieving a "B" time standard and/or competing at the NCAA Regional qualifier.

In order to be recognized, teams must have achieved a GPA of 3.0 or higher and must be current CSCAA members. Individual recognitions are students that achieve a grade point of 3.50 or higher and competed at the NCAA Swimming and Diving National Championships.

Along with these honors, the swimming and diving program earned the second highest GPA among all other women's sports at Nevada during the spring semester.
