RENO, Nev. - The Nevada softball team moves to 21-13, 6-2 on the year after falling to the Aztecs, 10-2 in five innings. The two will meet again tomorrow for the deciding game.
Julia Jensen started in the circle and pitched 2 1/3 innings with six runs earned before
Rachel Rodriguez came in relief and pitched the final 2 2/3 innings with four earned run. Jensen moved to 8-3 after the loss.
Sadaria McAlister was the only Wolf Pack player to have a multi-hit game, going 2-for-3 at the plate with one run scored.
Kenzi Goins,
Dallas Millwood and
Haley Burda all tallied a single hit in the contest. Millwood recorded the other run, a solo home run in the bottom of the fourth inning.
San Diego State put up at least a single run in each of the five innings with the exception of the second where the Pack held them scoreless.
The two meet again tomorrow for the rubber match at 12:00 p.m. PT at Hixson Park. Tomorrow will also serve as senior day for
Kwynn Warner with her presentation beginning 10 minutes prior to first pitch.
