WOLF PACK TRAVELS TO AIR FORCE FOR PIVOTAL CONFERENCE MATCHUP

Coming off one of its best stretches of the 2019 season, taking a conference series from rival UNLV and sweeping defending champion No. 2 Oregon State, Nevada has a pivotal matchup this weekend at Air Force ... All three games will be broadcast live on the Mountain West Network, with John Ramey calling the game on 94.1 FM/1450 AM ... Live stats of the MW series will be available on StatBroadcast ... Tuesday night's game against UC Davis will also be broadcast on the Mountain West Network and John Ramey again calling the game over the radio ... SIDEARM Stats will broadcast the live stats for that contest ... Nevada is currently tied with the Rebels in 4th place in the Mountain West standings after taking two-of-three games from UNLV this past weekend at Don Weir Field at Peccole Park ... Nevada matched its season-high in runs scored twice in that contest, posting 16 in both wins over the Rebels ... Dillan Shrum blasted his ninth and 10th homer of the season against the Rebels to give him the Mountain West lead, and the junior has launched five jacks in six games against UNLV this season ... The Pack leads the conference and ranks 50th in the nation with 41 homers this year ... After falling twice in extra innings at No. 2 Oregon State last season, the Pack got revenge with two extra-inning victories of their own ... The first came in the 12th inning when Daniel Perry scampered home on a sacrifice bunt and throwing error, while the second walkoff came in the 10th inning on Tuesday when Keaton Smith launched a solo shot over the left-field wall ... Earlier this season, Nevada faced Air Force and lost two-of-three games at home to the Falcons ... Nevada won the first game thanks to a Jaylon McLaughlin walkoff single in the ninth inning ... The Falcons currently rank fifth in the conference with a .265 team batting average, while Nevada ranks just below them with a .264 mark ... Nevada is superior in both pitching and defense to the Falcons, ranking first and third in the league respectively ... Nevada won an epic game at UC Davis earlier this season when it scored two runs in the top of the ninth inning to win the game after the Aggies took a one-run lead in the eighth.
