STANFORD, Calif. – The Nevada women's track and field team completed day one of the Stanford Cardinal Classic today. Wrapping up the day was senior
Lindsey Sickler moving into second all-time at Nevada in the 5,000 meter.
Sickler ran a time of 16:13.30 to finish seventh in the loaded 5,00m invite field. The time moves her from fifth to second on the Nevada all-time list, and is currently 3rd in the Mountain West, 14th in the west region and 29th in the NCAA.
Sophomore
Alex Bohlman improved on her Mountain West best mark of 151' 7" (46.20 m) in the javelin. Bphlman earned a personal record mark of 151' 9.25" (46.26 m) to finish third in the event. Freshman
Gaia Osborne took fifth with a mark of 129' 3" (39.39 m).
In the long jump, freshman
Denver Fraser took third with a personal record jump of 17' 3.50" (5.27 m). Her twin sister
Gabby Fraser took fifth with a mark of 17' 0.50" (5.19 m).
Freshman
Grace Wills set a personal record in the hammer throw, reaching a mark of 150' 10.75" (45.99 m).
In the 400m hurdles, junior
Karoline Sauer clocked a season-high time of 59.90 seconds. The mark is tops in the Mountain West heading into this weekend. Freshman
Shelby Garrison finished in 1:06.71, a personal record.
Freshman
Emily Costello and senior
Makeya White finished first and second in the 200m, respectively. Costello ran a time of 24.46, while White ran a season-high 24.97.
The Pack had several strong 800m performances as well. Freshmen
Erika Robtoy and
Mikayla Shults each earned personal records with respective times of 2:13.25 and 2:13.39. Sophomore
Eliza McCall finished in a season-best 2:11.79, and senior
Zanae Jones earned a personal record with a time of 2:13.50.
Sophomore
Katarina Stashyn earned a personal record in the 5,000m as well, finishing with a time of 18:09.55.
The Pack will complete the Cardinal Classic tomorrow beginning with the triple jump at 2:00pm PT. The meet will continue to be streamed on FloTrack, and live results will be available online at nevadawolfpack.com/tf.
