AZUSA, Calif.  – The Nevada women's track and field team had two representatives at today's Bryan Clay Invitational and Multis. Sophomore Nicola Ader and freshman Anna Marie Sommerfeld both competed in the heptathlon, with the duo combining to earn five personal records.
 
Ader recorded the top mark of the day, moving into ninth all-time at Nevada in the 100m hurdles with a time of 13.98 seconds. Heading into the weekend, the time ranks eighth in the Mountain West. Ader went on to take third in the high jump with a mark of 5' 10.50" (1.79 m), putting her in fourth in the 15-person group.
 
In the shot put, Ader recorded a toss of 34' 2.75" (10.43 m) to pick up 558. Closing out the day in the 200m, Ader would post a personal record time of 25.71 seconds to bring her day one total to 3,328
 
Opening up the competition was Sommerfeld in the 100m hurdles. The freshman clocked a personal record time of 14.51 seconds to earn 907 points, good for second in her group of 14 athletes.
 
Sommerfeld followed the performance with a season-high mark of 4' 9.75" (1.47 m) in the high jump to bring her point total to 1,495 at the day's halfway point. The score had her in sixth place going into the shot put, where she would set her second personal record of the day.
 
The native of Brandenburg, Germany set a personal record with a mark of 33' 5.25" (10.19 m) to bring her total score to 2,037. Sommerfeld would earn a third personal record in the 200m with a time of 25.30 seconds to give her a day one score of 2,896.
 
Sommerfeld and Ader will wrap up the heptathlon tomorrow, with Sommerfeld beginning at 9:00 a.m. and Ader beginning at 12:30 p.m. PT. Results will continue to be available at nevadawolfpack.com/tf.
