Pack to face MW foe Fresno State

DAVIS, Calif.  – The University of Nevada (6-2) men's tennis team will play for the Golden State Invitational title on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. after winning a pair of matches on Friday.  The Wolf Pack defeated Saint Mary's 4-3 for second time this season and avenged an earlier loss to UC Davis downing the Aggies 4-2.

Nevada has won its last three matches and it is the second three-match win streak of the season.  The Pack will face fellow Mountain West foe Fresno State (8-5) on Saturday at the Marya Tennis Center on the UC Davis campus.

In the first match on Friday the Pack fell behind 1-0 after dropping the two completed doubles matches.  The Pack won four of the six singles matches to earn the slim 4-3 victory.  Kostya Nesterenko, Jeremy Merville, and Daniele Dudockin earned victories on courts 2, 3 and 4.  Delmas N'tcha won on court 6.

The Pack got victories on doubles court 1 by Julien Evrard and Nesterenko along with Matvey Radionov and Benjamin Campi on court 3 to clinch the doubles point.

In singles play Merville on court 3 and Dudockin on court 5 both won for the second time today to earn points for the Pack.  Jonathan Aremon won at No. 4 singles in his only singles match of the day.  Merville's win clinched the match for the Pack.
