RENO, Nev. – The University of Nevada (6-4) women's tennis lost its final two matches of a three-match road swing. The Wolf Pack won 6-1 at UC Santa Cruz on Thursday but lost 4-3 at San Francisco (7-5) on Friday and 4-0 at Pacific (3-6) on Saturday.
Nevada's next action is March 22 at Cal State Northridge and March 23 at Cal Poly.
Friday the Pack earned the doubles point over USF with victories by
Roos van Reek and Adrian Gergelyova on court 2 and
Maria Tatarnikova and
Selina Turulja on court 3. The Pack won the first two completed singles matches on court 5 by
Anastaysha Gorbacheva 6-1, 6-0 and Tatarnikova on court 6 to take a 3-0 advantage.
USF won the final four singles matches with the deciding point being a three-set victory from Margarita Treyes 2-6, 6-2, and 6-4 over Turulja to earn the victory for the Dons.
In Saturday's loss Pacific won the doubles point and the three completed singles matches to earn the victory 4-0. The Tigers victories came on courts 1, 4, 5 and 6.
