Wolf Pack set to conclude indoor regular season

Boise State team challenge Saturday

RENO, Nev.  – The Nevada women's track and field team will wrap up its indoor regular season on Saturday at the Boise State Team Challenge. The Wolf Pack's second trip to Boise in under a month will serve as the final tune-up before the Mountain West Indoor Championships on Feb. 21-23 in Albuquerque, N.M.

The meet will feature three opposing Mountain West schools, with San José State and Utah State joining Nevada and the host Boise State Broncos. The Pac-12's Utah Utes will also be in attendance.

The Wolf Pack is coming off of a strong weekend in Boulder, Colo. at the Colorado Invitational. The team saw a new school record set in the pole vault, with junior Gaby Palmer reaching a height of 13' 6.25" (4.12 meter). Sophomore Nicola Ader set seven total personal records on the weekend as well, including a new personal record each of the three times she ran the 60m hurdles.

The duo moved into the national rankings in several events. Ader's pentathlon score of 3,984 is currently 18th in the nation, and tops in the Mountain West. Her high jump of 5' 10" (1.78 m) is currently second in the Mountain West and number 20 in the nation. Palmer's school record pole vault of 13' 6.25" (4.12 m) sits third in the Mountain West and 35th in the nation.

Nevada was in Boise last month for the Ed Jacoby Invitational, and saw seven different personal records broken at the two-day meet.

The meet will begin at 8:00 a.m. PST with the shot put and pole vault. Live results will be available at nevadawolfpack.com/tf.
